2005 Eureka Earthquake
The 2005 Eureka Earthquake occurred on 14 June 2005 at 07:50:53 P.M. PDT offshore of Humboldt County, California and Del Norte County, California. The magnitude of the earthquake was 7.2, and its epicenter was located 160 kilometers (100 miles) West-northwest of Eureka, California and 160 kilometers (100 miles) West-southwest of Crescent City, California. It was felt from southwestern Oregon to the San Francisco Bay Area, but there were no reports of damage.[1] A Tsunami Warning was issued[2] and a tsunami was generated with maximum wave heights of 26 cm. at Crescent City, California.[3]
