The 2005 Victory Bowl, the Ninth edition of the annual game, was a college football bowl game played on Saturday, November 19, 2005, at Ward Field in Bourbonnais, Illinois. It was a rematch of the previous year's Victory Bowl and featured the Northwestern Eagles against the Olivet Nazarene Tigers. The Eagles would not get revenge for last year's defeat as the Tigers repeated as Champions winning their Third Victory Bowl 29–13. The Tigers went to a 29–0 run to start and never let go allowing only 165 yards on defense compared to their 454 yards of total offense.[1]
