On the morning of Tuesday, March 1, 2016, the Sultanate of Oman Police announced the death of 18 people and the wounding of 14 others in a traffic accident between a bus and a truck and a passenger car on the road that connects Fahud and Ibri, stressing that these figures are preliminary.[1] Several foreign nationals were killed, including from China and Pakistan[2]

Omani police said through the official account on "Twitter" that the damage to the vehicles in the Ibri-Fahud accident was very large, which led to the death of 18 people.
Investigation
The official Omani news agency reported that the incident occurred between a bus and a truck and a vehicle near the roundabout at Natih, which connects the state of Ibri and Fahud, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, and resulted in the death of 18 people of different nationalities and the wounding of 14 others, with injuries ranging from moderate to severe.
