The 2017 Angelo State Rams football team represented Angelo State University in the 2017 NCAA Division II football season. They were led by head coach Will Wagner, who was in his seventh season at Angelo State. The Rams played their home games at LeGrand Stadium and were members of the Lone Star Conference.

The 2017 season marks the first year since 45 years the Rams participated in a bowl game.[1][2]

Schedule[edit]

Angelo State announced its 2017 football schedule on February 7, 2017. The schedule consists of seven home and three away games in the regular season. The Rams will host LSC foes Midwestern State, Tarleton State, Texas A&M-Kingsville, West Texas A&M, and Western New Mexico and will travel to Eastern New Mexico, Texas-Permian Basin, and Texas A&M-Commerce[3]

The Rams will host both non-conference games against McKendree from the Great Lakes Valley Conference and Northern Michigan from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
