The 2018 Summit League Softball Tournament took place from May 9-12, 2018. All six teams make the tournament make the double-elimination tournament at Ellig Sports Complex on the campus of North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. The winner of the tournament, North Dakota State, earned the Summit League's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament. The championship runner-up also received an invitation to the National Invitational Softball Championship.

Format and Seeding[edit]
The top six teams from the regular season were seeded one through six based on conference winning percentage during the league's regular season. The tournament played out as a modified double-elimination tournament, with the bottom four seeds playing each other in the single-elimination first round and the rest of the tournament as a double-elimination.
