The 2018 Spring/Summer United Premier Soccer League season will be the 106th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States and the 8th year of the UPSL.

Conference Realignments[edit]

New conferences with all new teams were added in Texas, the Midwest, the Northeast, the Southeast, and Central Florida. Additionally, the Desert Mountain Conference was eliminated and regionalized, with its Idaho and Utah teams forming the new Mountain Conference; its Nevada teams forming the new Northwest conference; its Arizona teams joining new teams from New Mexico and West Texas to form the new Southwest Conference; and the Las Vegas Mobsters and Logan United FC folding.

Western Conference[edit]

Pro Premier Division[edit]

The following 4 clubs left the division before the season

  • Anaheim Legacy FC — folded
  • Bell Gardens FC — folded
  • San Diego Zest FC 2 – folded
  • Vanquish FC – folded

The following 2 clubs joined the division before the season

  • Lionside FC – promoted from Championship Division
  • Newcastle United FC – promoted from Championship Division

Additionally, OC Invicta was rebranded as California United FC II.[1]

Northwest Conference[edit]

The Northwest Conference is new for this season. It covers Southern Nevada.

The following 5 clubs joined the conference for its inaugural season

  • Demilios — new team from Las Vegas, NV
  • FC Nevada — new team from Las Vegas, NV
  • Las Vegas City FC – transferred from Desert Mountain Conference
  • Las Vegas Soccer Club – transferred from Desert Mountain Conference
  • Summerlin Red Rocks FC – new team from Summerlin, NV [7]

Southwest Conference[edit]

The Southwest Conference is new for this season. It covers the states of Arizona and New Mexico, as well as West Texas.

The following 4 clubs joined the conference for its inaugural season

  • Arizona Scorpions – returned from 1 season hiatus
  • FC Grande – joined from Mesilla Valley Soccer League [8][9][10]
  • Southwest FC – new team from El Paso, TX [11]
  • Sporting Arizona FC 2 – transferred from Desert Mountain Conference and renamed from Sporting Arizona FC

Mountain Conference[edit]

The Mountain Conference is new for this season. It covers the states of Idaho and Utah.

The following 5 clubs joined the conference for its inaugural season

  • Boise FC – transferred from Desert Mountain Conference
  • Idaho Lobos FC — new team from Idaho
  • Provo Premier – transferred from Desert Mountain Conference
  • San Juan FC – transferred from Desert Mountain Conference
  • Utah Saints FC – new team from Davis County, UT[12][13]

Colorado Conference[edit]

The Texas Conference is new for this season. It covers most of the state of Texas.

Midwest Conference[edit]

The Midwest Conference is new for this season. It was founded through a merger with the Premier League of America (PLA). The conference was split geographically into four regions.

West Region[edit]

The West Region covers the states of Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.

North Region[edit]

The North Region covers the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Central Region[edit]

The Central Region covers the states of Illinois and Iowa.

The East Region covers the states of Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

Florida Conference[edit]

The South Florida Conference was expanded to be the Florida Conference for this season and was split into two regions. All of the existing teams joined the South Region, while new teams were added to form a Central Region.
