II Lyga
Season2020
2019
2021

The 2020 II Lyga is the fourth season since the return to a two-division system, the twenty-second after the switch to a spring-to-fall format, and the thirty-second overall after the restoration of Independence.

The II Lyga is the third tier of football in Lithuania. It is divided into the South Zone and the West Zone, run respectively by the Kaunas County Football Federation and the Telšiai County Football Federation. This season, the South Zone contains fourteen teams and the West Zone twelve. The winning teams from each division are promoted to the I Lyga, while the last-placed teams from both divisions are relegated to the appropriate regional division of the III Lyga, except in separately regulated cases for the B teams of higher-tier clubs.[1] The final list of participants often does not correlate to the final results of the previous season, as participation is finalized through the Lithuanian Football Federation league licensing process.

The competition was affected by the COVID-19 virus pandemic; the season start was postponed until the middle of June.
