The 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix is a Formula One race which is due to be held on the 28 March 2021, and serves as the season opener to the 2021 Formula One Championship.[2][3]
Background
The 2021 season takes place during the COVID-19 pandemic, a global pandemic which resulted in significant changes to the 2020 Formula One season's calendar.[4][5] Amidst this, the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix was officially confirmed as apart of the 2021 Formula One racing season in. Following this, the original season opener, the 2021 Australian Grand Prix, was postponed to November, leading to Bahrain becoming the new season opener.[6]
