2021 Bloomington, Illinois mayoral election

2021 Bloomington, Illinois mayoral election will take place on April 6, 2021. Incumbent mayor Teri Renner will not seek a third term.
The three main candidates are Jackie Gunderson a former McLean County Board candidate, Mike Straza, and Mboka Mwilambwe who currently holds the Ward 3 seat but will not seek reelection.[1] The Bloomington mayor election will be held on the same day as the Normal, Illinois mayoral election as well as the city council ward elections. There will be a mayoral debate on March 2, 2021 hosted by WGLT.[2]
