2021 Ukrainian coup d'état plot

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

On 26 November 2021, the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky declared having uncovered a plot of a group of Russians and Ukrainians to overthrow his government the following week, on 1 or 2 December.[1] The alleged coup involved Russian plotters, caught on tape by Ukraine’s security services talking about getting Rinat Akhmetov, Ukraine's richest businessman, into backing the plot.[2][3] Zelensky said that Akhmetov was not involved. Akhmetov called Zelensky's account "an absolute lie.” Russia's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov denied any Russian involvement in the alleged plot.[4][3][1]
