Background

The “World Maritime Merchants Forum” is an international event hosted by China Merchants Group (CMG), together with the Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO), the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA). It is organized by China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd. (CMES SHIPPING), co-organized by the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association (HKCEA), and the Hong Kong Shipping Circles Association Limited.

Theme

With the theme of "Leading the Trend”, the forum is intended to promote closer ties between upstream and downstream industry players, pursue innovation and changes, identify solutions, and jointly explore new business models. The ultimate aim is to boost the transformation and upgrading of the shipping industry chain amid the once-in-a-century great changes so as to breathe new life into the conventional industry. Guests and industry experts from around the world will be invited to deeply explore a range of key and hot topics, including creating a global shipping ecosystem in the new era, driving industry transformation and upgrading with innovative technology, and developing a road map and technology for carbon reduction in the shipping industry. Notably, In order to better build the ecosystem of the First “World Maritime Merchants Forum”, the forum added an online business live streaming section, which provides a platform for the world aviation business community to further communicate, interact, discuss and win-win, and give full play to its core value of mutual benefit, symbiosis and connecting the future.

Highlights
