2022 Jalisco shootout

On the night of June 22-23, 2022, four police officers and eight attackers were killed in a shootout in El Salto, Jalisco[1]. Additionally, at least three people were wounded. The police were responding to a call made late Wednesday night about armed men in a house, and were ambushed once they had arrived[2]. At least two people were founded kidnapped in the house after the operation. After the incident, Governor Enrique Alfaro stated that there can be "no truce" with the perpetrators of the attack[3].
