The 2022 Moscow murders are the murders of college students Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Ethan Chapin, and Xana Kernodle that took place in Moscow, Idaho on November 13, 2022.
Murders
At 11:58 a.m. on November 13, Moscow police officers responded to a 911 call reporting an unconscious individual. The officers walked into "a grisly, bloody crime scene."[1] The officers found the four victims deceased. Autopsies of the bodies confirmed the identities of the victims and the cause and manner of death as homicide by stabbing. The coroner reported that the victims were likely asleep. It was also reported that some of the bodies had defensive wounds, and each had been stabbed multiple times. There was no sign of sexual assault.
