The 4th CISM World Winter Games were to be held in Berchtesgaden, Germany from 23–28 March 2021. They were later rescheduled to 22–27 February 2022[1] and then cancelled due to COVID-19.
Host Selection and Venues
Berchtesgaden was chosen as the host city for the 4th Winter Military Games with events happening in both Berchtesgaden and Ruhpolding.
Cancellation
On January 11, 2022, CISM President General Hervé Piccirillo announced the cancellation of the 4th CISM Military World Winter Games 2022 in Germany due to recommendations from military officials in the host nation of Germany.[2] These officials cite concerns due to the ongoing 2019 coronavirus pandemic.[3]
