The 2022 Wofford Terriers baseball team represents Wofford College during the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Terriers played their home games at Russell C. King Field as a member of the Southern Conference. They were led by head coach Todd Interdonato, in his fifteenth season at Wofford.
Wofford won the Southern Conference regular season, but lost in the 2022 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament championship game to UNC Greensboro.
Background[edit]
The 2021 Wofford Terriers baseball team finished the season with a 36–21 record and a 21–9 record in Southern Conference play. The Terriers won the Red Division and had the best regular season record and qualified for the 2021 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament as the top seed. They were eliminated in the losers bracket semifinal by Western Carolina.
During the 2021 MLB draft, two players from Wofford were drafted. Colin Davis was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the seventh round with the 204th overall pick. Hayes Heinecke was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 13th round with the 391st overall pick. Davis was assigned to the Mariners' single-A affiliate, the Modesto Nuts, while Heinecke was assigned to the Cardinals' single-A affiliate, the Palm Beach Cardinals.
