The 2023 San Francisco mayoral election will be held on November 2, 2023 to elect the mayor of San Francisco. Incumbent mayor London Breed, who was reelected in 2019 after winning the seat in a 2018 special election, is eligible to run for a second full term.
Background[edit]
London Breed was elected Mayor of San Francisco in a 2018 special election to serve until 2020, filling the unexpired term of Ed Lee, who was elected in 2011 and 2015, and died in office on December 12, 2017. Breed won re-election to a first full term in office in 2019.[1][2]
