The 2027 IIHF World Championship will be hosted by Düsseldorf and Mannheim, Germany, from 14 to 30 May 2027.
Host nation bid
The only bidders were Kazakhstan and Germany.[1] Norway withdrew its bid in January, four and a half months before the host selection.[2][3] Austria had also expressed interest.[4]

In the end, on 26 May 2023, the IIHF Congress awarded Germany the rights to host the competition.[5]
Venues
Two venues will be used.[6] There is potential that Germany's opening game will be at the football stadium, similar to 2010.[7]
