20 Dollars - Two artists who call themselves ' Cygo & Shaki ' appeared in 2020. While their rise to fame was somewhere between fast and meteoric, the Sri Lankan duo 20 Dollars are steeped in the Southern tradition of hip-hop groups, having come together over their shared love for Migos and OutKast. Members Cygo and ShakiBoy who are all related, grew up together and first started making music in 2020 under the name 20Dollars, the name 20 Dollars becoming official in 2020. In April, they released their first single HadeHawa. The month of April 2020 was a whirlwind, as it saw the group drop their GaumKote single which featured RnB hip-hop in SriLanka.

In May 2020, 20Dollars released the 20Dolla$[1] single to announce to the audience that 20Dollars would be participating in the battle of the hip-hop. On May of the same year, Cygo and ShakiBoy released their No.01 single called MaramaKolayak, which reached over 10,000 streams worldwide. 20Dollars have decided to produce international hits to take the SriLankan hip-hop culture to the world class level.
