24h or Tin tức 24h (24h News) is a news website in Vietnam.[1] The website operates under license number 332/GP–TTĐT (dated January 22, 2018) issued by Hanoi Department of Information and Communications. It is managed by 24h Online Joint Stock Company.
History[edit]
24h.com.vn was officially established on June 25, 2004. From 2005 to 2012, its headquarter was located at HITTC building of the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications (185 Giảng Võ, Đống Đa, Hanoi), before being moved later to Geleximco building (36 Hoàng Cầu, Đống Đa, Hanoi).
Controversies[edit]
In February 2006, The Press Department (Ministry of Culture and Information) sent a written request to Hanoi Department of Culture and Information and PA25 (Ministry of Public Security) for inspecting the content published on 24h.com.vn website.[2]
Some editor-in-chiefs/reporters of other newspapers have accused 24h of copying and editing their content without permission.[3]
