27th Podgorica Marathon
The 27th Podgorica Marathon was held on November 1, 2020, starting at 9:00 a.m., with Meridianbet serving as the event’s general sponsor.[1][2]
Due to the epidemiological situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the marathon was held for the first time on a new circular course located on Crnogorskih Serdara Street.[3][4]
The event included 5 km and 10 km races, a half marathon, and a marathon, which also served as part of the Montenegrin Road Running Championships.[3][5]
Competitors from 18 countries respectively, took part in the marathon, which was organized in accordance with the prescribed epidemiological measures.[6]
According to official results, Dragoljub Koprivica won the men’s marathon race, while the women’s marathon title was won by Slađana Perunović, and both were crowned Montenegrin champions in the discipline.[5]
