28000 Days

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

28000 Days is a collection of songs co-written by Parkaimoon bassist/vocalist Damon Tucker and acclaimed drummer/artist Steve Distanislao. The songs attempt to look at life in a global perspective, with creative musical passages and introspective lyrical content. In 2018, 28000 Days recorded three songs for their first endeavor. The project name 28000 Days is based on the average human lifespan of 28,000 days or 77 years.

Tucker and Distanislao, who had previously worked on a mutual friends project, created 28000 Days after an afternoon jam session in the spring of 2017. The original drum and bass ideas evolved into three distinctly different songs, each of which sound like completely different artists.

Tucker and Distanislao each sing lead vocals on Eyes Wide Open and Scratch respectively. Distanislao is also credited with drums, percussion, keyboards, backing vocals, arrangements, mixing, recording and producing the project. They are joined by guest vocalist Gino DeFalco on the final song Amuse Me. The project is rounded out by appearances from several notable musicians including Richard Bredice on guitar, Sharlotte Gibson on backing vocals, Mark Visher on saxophone, and Tony Guerrero on flute and trumpet.
