28 Savage
28 Savage (born 2003) is an artist, rapper, producer, musician, pianist, teacher, roadie and animal rights activist. He is one half of the SoundCloud rap duos Funyun God x 28 Savage, and 57 Savage.
Early Life and Education
28 Savage (formally known as Aden Neuwirth was born in Manhasset, NY, on October 17, 2003, being the middle child of Sandra Neuwirth and James Neuwirth. He grew up in Port Washington, attending Guggenheim Elementary School up until 4th grade, when he began attending Manorhaven after a short move. After he attended Weber Middle School, and Paul D. Schreiber High School.
Name Origin
On a cold winter day, snow falling from the sky for the bliss of the world. In the lands of Funeral Mountain, five comrades acquired a way to slide down the mountain with utter speed. The idea came from Vito, and he traveled to the nearby post office to retrieve cardboard with Noah Feldman and the Funyun God.
They were laughing and having fun when a group of amazed teenagers one year older than them came to see exactly what they were doing. These people joined in, and before long they were all having fun. The five comrades all left because of everyone being very cold and frigid. Josh established the plan and everyone agreed, traveling far down the Main road of town to reach Noah’s house.
Aden Neuwirth decided to go to the restroom after taking off his jacket and sweatshirt, but Noah recognized an opportunity. He devised a plan with the four other comrades to hide his belongings and for him to procure them back; he must complete certain trials. When Aden came out of the bathroom, they put a meal coaster on the floor, and Vito took a multi-bladed screwdriver and wielded it to smite the air. After this fiasco, they all explained what happened, and instead of putting an end to the madness, he shrugged to let the games begin.
The first trial was the nature trial. In this, he would have to put his hand into the fish tank. The fish were passive, but everyone found it amusing to see the fish scared of a human hand. Noah’s father, Rich, was in his office while it happened, but this was undangerous, so he just watched while doing his work. Aden lifted the flap on the front and dove his hand in. The fish were frightened. Even though his wrist was too big to move his arm any further than a few inches, when he would turn his hand, the fish would swim away, thinking it was somehow perilous. While Richard watched, he claimed it was “Panic! At the Fishco,” which was laughed upon by all comrades. Noah claimed it to be his “one good joke,” as he is a father and they moved on to the next trial.
The next trial was the water trial. For this, he secured his hand bathed in water almost as hot as Daniel Chen, and immediately soaked it in water from Antarctica. This, Aden found very odd, but instead of saying something, he went along with it, for he wanted his clothes back, and he perceived that wherever Noah hid them, Noah knew his house better than Aden probably ever would. But surprisingly, the hot water hurt very much, but the frigid water didn’t seem to hurt at all. Nothing very interesting happened here, and after a brief intermission, Aden went on to the next trial.
The third trial was coined as “the darkness trial.” This was where Aden was locked in a closet, and though he was only approximately 5 foot 3 inches at the time, it felt cramped because of the clothes not giving him any room, as well as it being very small in terms of width when empty. This did not bother Aden though, as he found a way for it to be less boring. He went on his phone and played mobile games, mostly Happy Wheels, while improvising by whistling music that sounded similar to jazz or lounge. While this happened, the other four comrades made easy-bake pepperoni pizza. Noah gave Aden pepperoni, but he politely declined because he wasn’t hungry. Then soon after he took a longer break. But this is where peril began.
Noah came up with the idea for the Ice Trials. Aden would have to go outside in the cold 28°F (-2°C) for a certain amount of time, to solve a mystery without a shirt and barefoot. Vito would be known as the riddle master, and he was supposed to help Aden solve the mystery outside, but in a jacket. Aden became very apprehensive about the Ice Trials and did not want to participate. Noah ended up convincing him quickly, as Noah said he would also go outside under similar conditions.
Noah and Aden started to proceed through the front door when Noah’s mother, Linda, saw the illicit activity and forbade them to go outside with what they were wearing. They quickly realized that the front door was not an effective way to sneak outside unnoticed, so they had to find another solution. This solution came to them when they found going outside a window was applicable. They went out the window and landed on a patch of medium-sized rocks. This fortunately did not hurt very much, and Aden continued to the concrete with Noah. Vito at this point had arrived outside, and Noah briefly explained to him what he had to do.
Vito was thinking of riddles when his brother Peter called him on the phone, neglecting the fact that Aden had to freeze in the cold. His brother was complaining about FIFA on their Xbox, claiming that it was broken. Vito pathetically acted like Tech Support, but Peter only screamed and did not know Vito was not the best in being experienced. Everyone else started to have growing angst because of him, and it took about 5 full minutes to have Peter hang up. By this time, Noah had given up on the idea of the riddle master and decided to tell him what he had to do to get back inside. It was a broken well cover over the basement window that he could not fit into.
Noah went inside after he told Aden what to do, and Josh, Vito and Matt stayed outside to watch Aden. When Noah went inside, it had already been very cold for Aden, and with the slim chance he had, he rushed to the door to try to find it unlocked, but Josh quickly realized his motive and blocked any chances of him escaping inside quickly.
Aden started to ring the doorbell, hoping that Linda or Rich would open. He first tried this patiently, ringing it every few seconds, then he could not take anymore of it. He started to ring in rapid succession, but Rich only told him to stop, signifying that this plan could not work as well.
He was starting to get used to the cold and eventually gave up for a few minutes, thinking what he could do. He tried to use Noah’s suggested plan of escaping, but now he couldn’t get close because of the Funyun God firing snow whenever he went back to the rock path. He quickly evaded his attacks by scurrying out of his range and thought of what to do. He had given up on everything.
But then something struck him. A eureka moment in the midst of pressure, freeing him from the literal cold oppression. Rich’s office was in the backyard, and Noah from the beginning said that area was forbidden, for his father would put an end to the madness. The only problem was how. From one way, he would be free from the wrath of the Funyun God, but this path was treacherous, with thorns and other obstacles, as well as being farther from the door back inside. So he decided to deal with the pain and prepared to go against the Funyun God.
He prepared mentally, making sure he knew exactly what he was getting himself into. This could be a complete failure, but it also could be victory, and he decided to take his chances. After about 1 minute he was ready.
He charged through, first arriving at the patch of rocks. He had a few brief moments of relief, but he mostly felt sharp rocks start to dig into his heel. Luckily he was quick enough to make the pain be over relatively quickly. The ViciousDemon was also prepared to strike. He started throwing chunks of snow at him, with his hand like a cannon, but all Aden felt was powder. He had assimilated to the cold enough so it had no thermal effects. He opened the gate to the backyard and shoved the Funyun God, making him fall. Rich watched all of this in awe, as he quickly rushed to the door and opened it for Aden to warm to room temperature.
“Don’t ever do that again!” Rich advised, though Aden found this quite obvious from how much he suffered.
Noah gave him a glass of water, and Aden grabbed his phone from where he left it. Juvenile Hazard was texting to see where he was. Though Aden would eventually hide it from his parents, he told them all the truth about what happened, and they became angry with his decisions. Aden blamed Noah for this, and even though Aden said this, Noah claimed it was never made clear. Aden then quickly demanded for his clothes back, and after a few minutes they agreed. He went home soon after and went to bed as if nothing happened.
A few days later, the musicians had notified Aden’s mother. Aden could hear screaming from the other side of the house.
“Don’t hang out with them! Don’t talk to them! They don’t deserve you! They’re losers!” she cried while giving him a forced hug. “You should have never been their friends!” she wailed with her perfectionist traits coming out.
Aden had to explain the whole thing to his mother, while watching her make rude comments about his friends. He told the five comrades that were involved in the event. Noah took the blame, Vito was worried, Josh started to hide from his parents, while the ViciousDemon apologized much more than needed. Then he had to watch his mother call the Funyun God’s mom. He could hear her screaming through the phone while his mother explained it to her.
He eventually told his other friends, and it was obvious that they didn’t want to hear any of it. His depression blinded him from the fact that he shouldn’t tell them for many reasons, but they were nice about it anyway.
In 28 Savage's life after the event, whenever he heard anything about freezing or cold, his friends or him would make a reference to the event. It is now joked upon by the comrades, and from there it just became a memory.
Career
On January 4th, 2018, Funyun God x 28 Savage released their first track Mo$$berg. Soon after, they released Funyun Gang, after re-releasing Funyun Gang, they released Rickshaw and have had consistent releases ever since then.
Controversy
The release of Mo$$berg, due to its topic and odd rhythmic patterns, gave way to controversy after being reported on January 10th, 2020. They were sent to their Assistant Principal's office, 28 Savage receiving unrecorded detention, while Funyun God received suspension. Funyun Gang and Mo$$berg were taken down, until Funyun Gang was re-released soon after. Mo$$berg was never re-released.
