2N Telecommunications (2N TELEKOMUNIKACE a.s.) is a European company founded in Prague, Czechia.[2] The company develop, manufacture, and sell products and software that make up audio and video door entry systems and building access control systems.[2] The company operate primarily in a regional distribution sales model. Headquarters is also in Prague.
Products are aimed at the premium end of the market, and the company have branches in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Australia and almost every country in Western Europe.[3]
The portfolio includes IP intercoms, answering units, IP access control readers, SIP audio systems, elevator systems and telecommunication systems, as well as software designed to aid the installation and configuration of products. Cybersecurity is also important topic for company[4].

Company was founded in 1991, on Na Nivách Street in Prague, Czechia[1] by three friends, Hanuš Brychta, Miroslav Hofman, and Roman Pihan.[5] The company created the name '2N' as a play on the 2 'Ns' in the name of the street on which company were founded.[1] In their first year, launched its first telephone exchanges, ATEUS 280 and ATEUS 180.[6] From 1991 to 1998, the company operated solely within the Czech and Slovakian markets and held a 17% share of the telephone exchange market.[2] In 2000, company was made into a joint-stock company. One of the main products launched at this time was StarGate, a gateway for connecting mobile and fixed telephone networks. Two years later launched a fixed line replacement called EasyGate. In 2008, 2N became the first company in the world to launch an IP intercom.[7]
In 2011, company began to focus on IP audio. In the same year, it opened its first branches in the USA in Florida, and since then over 80% of the company’s production is exported outside[8] of the company’s manufacturing and operational base in the Czech Republic.[5] In 2013, the 2N Helios IP Verso was launched, becoming the flagship product within 2N's IP intercom portfolio. Shortly after, the decision was made to sell the company to an external buyer.[5]
In 2016, company was acquired[9] by the Swedish company Axis Communications and has since experienced an average annual growth of 20%[10].[2] In 2017, company introduced the 2N® Mobile Video video service, which allows homeowners to receive video calls from intercoms[11] on their mobile phones and open doors remotely.
