39/20 Alliance

The 39/20 Alliance is a political and economic collaboration of the communities of Thorsby, Breton, Calmar and Warburg.[1][2] Its name describes the geographical proximity of the four communities to Alberta highways 39 and 20.

History

Originally an informal partnership of the four communities, the Town of Calmar officially became part of the alliance on January 16, 2012, becoming an official member along with the Village of Breton.[3] The alliance officially expanded to four communities at a ceremony held in Warburg, Alberta on November 28, 2012.[4]
