Three Count Wrestling (3CW) is a British owned independent professional wrestling promotion established in 2004. 3CW runs the majority of its shows in Teesside, in the county of Cleveland, United Kingdom.

History[edit]

Three Count Wrestling was founded in 2004 by Mike Groom in Teesside, United Kingdom. Their first event has held on 14 March 2004 in Dormanstown and featured a battle royal styled main event called "Free For All" and which lead to crowning the first 3CW Champion during the third show on 25 March 2004 in Lance Thunder. Three Count Wrestling went on to host event's almost every month with many notable names in British Wrestling, Japanese Wrestling and American Wrestling including Neville, Colt Cabanna, Takeshi Morishma, Doug Williams, Go Shiozaki, Corey Graves, Drew Galloway, Martin Stone, Jimmy Jacobs, Nikki Cross, Raven, Robbie Brookside, Zack Sabre Jnr., Wolfgang and Tracy Smothers. In 2005 current WWE Superstar Neville under the name of "Pac" made his debut in Three Count Wrestling and went on to become 3CW North East Champion and 3CW Champion before heading to WWE. On 12 May 2006 Pro Wrestling NOAH star Takeshi Morishma debuted in Three Count Wrestling and went on to capture the 3CW Championship in the same night. Takeshi Morishma lost the 3CW Championship to Pac at IPW:UK in a 3CW Championship match that featured WWE Superstar Kevin Owens. In 2013 Three Count Wrestling held "3CW The Final Curtain" which was thought to be the final Three Count Wrestling show, which featured Chirs Whitton finally capturing the 3CW Championship from Martin Kirby.

In July 2016, Three Count Wrestling made an announcement on their Facebook page that 3CW will be making a return to British Wrestling in November 2016. On 12 November 2016 Three Count Wrestling held "3CW Encore" in Hartlepool, United Kingdom. A show which featured a What Culture Pro Wrestling Championship match for the first time outside of British Wrestling Promotion WCPW. In December 2016, Three Count Wrestling announced their own On Demand system. This is where past Three Count Wrestling event's and present would be available to rent.
