45min Football is a technology-enabled football news platform, which produces Internet content covering most popular football leagues worldwide. The content offered by the platform is user-generated following the principles of citizen journalism. The Johannesburg based company website was launched in 2019 by South African entrepreneurs Mxolisi Nhleko and Sibongiseni Ndlazi.
45min is part of the VergeOn Media Group. It has evolved over the few months to include video content (45Min Football TV)[2] and social media components as well as a mobile app.

45min.co.za began in 2019 as a digital magazine serving the growing South African community in Johannesburg by collating news stories from South African newspapers. The website was launched on January, 01, 2019.
