History
4S Consulting was founded in 2004 by Sobi Ragunathan and Sabesh Kanagaretnam.[4] According to TMU, 4S has grown into one of Canada’s larger privately held OHS consultancies and was a finalist for the Markham Board of Trade Innovation Award in 2019.[5]
Services
4S structures its work around consulting and training, safety-management systems, and software.

- 4SafeCom software: The company offers 4SafeCom, a cloud-based health and safety management system that allows clients to manage safety documentation, training records and incident reports.[13]
Partnerships and events
In 2024, ORHMA named 4S its exclusive health and safety partner for hospitality sector members across Ontario.[14] In May 2025, 4S vice-president Sobi Ragunathan joined Ontario Road Builders’ Association leaders at the New Horizons in Safety forum to discuss labour challenges in roadbuilding.[15]
Recognition
At the 2023 Canada’s Safest Employers Awards, 4S won the Avetta Award for Best Safety Industry Provider.[16] In 2024, it was named an excellence awardee in the same category.[17] Several 4S leaders were also recognized in 2023: Anusha Eswarapatham for Safety Leader of the Year, Amarpreet Bhalla for Rising Star of the Year, and CEO Sabesh Kanagaretnam for CEO of the Year.[18] In 2023, the Markham Board of Trade presented 4S with its Women Led Business Award.[19] That same year, a member of the firm’s leadership team was named to Canadian Occupational Safety’s *Top Women in Safety* list.[20] In 2023, HRD Canada included 4S Consulting in its list of the Best Places to Work in Canada.[21]
