75 Satellites
75 Satellites .[1] is an Indian Technology Congress Association's (ITCA's) National Initiative to accelerate public[2] and private [3][4]small satellite innovation[5] to address climate change[6], academia[7], agriculture, fisheries, defense, communication, healthcare, water and cyber governance affordable to consumers, and create sustainable jobs[8] and commercial opportunities[9]
The programme initiators of the 75 Students Small Satellites Mission 2022 are the Indian Industry-Institute Experts Dr. LV Muralikrishna Reddy, President, Indian Technology Congress Association[10], Padma Shri. Professor RM Vasagam, Vice-President, Indian Technology Congress Association[11] and Dr. K Gopalakrishnan, Secretary General, Indian Technology Congress Association [12].
The programme’s main objective is to develop, build, and launch into space 75 satellites[13], celebrating 75 years of India's Independence. The satellites will be built by institutes from ITCA Space Tech Consortia. The development of small satellites and space technologies is a national goal[14] in support of: New Space- Horizon Applications[15] (Agriculture, Fisheries, Defense, Communication, Education[16], Healthcare, Water and Cyber Governance).
