7layers is an international group of testing laboratories specialised in testing and certifying wireless communication devices.[2][3][4][5][6]

Since its foundation in 1999[2] 7layers became a partner for businesses involving wireless communication products. In 2013 the company was bought by Bureau Veritas.[7][8][9][10]
Tasks & Accreditations[edit]
7layers offers its services for a variety of industries developing and implementing wireless communication devices and modules, serving businesses such as automotive device manufacturers by testing DSRC-V2X devices for car connectivity.[11][12] Further clients are e.g. component and end manufacturers or network providers for whom they test and certify communication technologies like LTE,[13][14][15] Bluetooth,[16][17] HSPA[18] and Wi-Fi.[19] Besides 7layers is a member of international open industry groups such as the Continua Health Alliance which is specialised in wireless health, set to develop advanced technologies for a connected and smart individual healthcare.[20] The company offers progressive testing solutions like InterLab Live, InterLab EVO, a web based test management system for test laboratories.[21][22] In accordance to ISO/IEC 17025 7layers is accredited by well-established accreditation bodies such as the German DAkkS[23] or the US A2LA.[24]

The 7layers group has its headquarters in Ratingen, Germany[25] with test & service centers in China,[26] Japan, South Korea and the United States of America.[2] The head office of the parent company Bureau Veritas is located in Neuilly-sur-Seine (France).[27]
