SK Games was established in October 2022, and saw 3 releases before the rebrand to 87K Games.
During its time as SK Games, Cawrey worked on 2 games in the Escape franchise of games that the studio is known for.
In July 2023, Cawrey announced 87K Games as being his new venture in games development. Along with this, an unnamed Open world game was teased by the young developer. An unnamed second employee was announced to have been released from the studio in late October 2023.
As of December 2023, a new Liminal Horror game was announced by the studio. Under the working title, Escape: Oliver Spencer, it is planned to be released in early January 2024.
