9250 Cordell Drive
9250 Cordell Drive is a house built in 1926 and located in West Hollywood, California, that has at various times belonged to celebrities including actor Errol Flynn, actor Paul Lynde, and electronic musician and DJ Moby.
Information[edit]
The house, as mentioned above, was built in 1926[1] and Errol Flynn moved in shortly after completion. Flynn died in 1959, but does not appear to have been living there at the time of his death. Paul Lynde moved in some time later and commissioned architect John Elgin Woolf to redecorate the house more to Lynde's liking.
Lynde died in 1982 in one of his homes. The house subsequently belonged to people who were not public figures. It sold to an attorney and his wife in 2001 for $1.3 million USD.[2]
In 2008, Moby purchased the house. Moby had remodeled it when he moved in and he proceeded to lease it out the next year.[3] Evidently this did not work out as he listed it the year after that for around $3 million. Moby sold it to an individual who was not a public figure in 2013.[4][5]
It was listed again in 2015 and sold the next year for $3.8 million.[1]
Features of the house[edit]
The home has two levels and includes an outdoor swimming pool. Features include a gymnasium and two sitting rooms on the second floor, one intended for men, and one intended for women.[6][7] The home includes a library, den, powder room, domed cabana, private terrace, guesthouse, and patio.[7]
