A-SOUL is a Virtual Idol group produced by Yuehua Entertainment. The project is initially released on November 23, 2020, and mainly streams on Bilibili and tiktok. Official channel posts Q&A on Bilibili every Tuesday. It has five members, AvA, Bella, Carol, Diana and Eileen.[1] As of July 2021, it has more than 1.3 million combined subscribers on Bilibili.
History[edit]
A-SOUL's PV was initially released on November 23, 2020 by Yuehua Entertainment.[2][3] On December 2, first single MV Quiet was released.[2][4] It was soon overwhelmingly criticized by Chinese Vtuber audience, especially those NGA users.[3][5] On December 11, A-SOUL made its debut stream on Douyin and Bilibili.[6] On December 12, A-SOUL's member Diana's debut stream received positive feedback which changed the situation of the project. A-SOUL starts to engage its audience from everywhere in the Chinese network society.[7] A-SOUL's characters are licensed by ByteDance.[8]

Bella is the leader and key dancer of the group. She is 19 years old, and her birthday is on July 17.[9][10]
Diana[edit]
Diana is the sweetie beloved by all group members. She is 18 years old, and her birthday is on March 7. She wants to become an idol only to eat delicious food all over the world.[9][10]
Eileen[edit]
Eileen is knowledgeable and working hard for law degrees. She is 19 years old, and her birthday is on August 8. She usually act as the MC role of the group.[9][10]
Carol[edit]
Carol is a cool short-hair girl. Singer of the group. She is 19 years old, and her birthday is on November 2.[9][10]
Ava[edit]
Ava is the gamer of this group. She is 18 years old, and her birthday is on June 12. Ava is a typical tsundere twintail girl.[9][10]
