A.D.K.O.B (or ADKOB, A Different Kind of Busy) are an indie rock / pop band from Sydney, Australia in 2015. The band consists of Mark Piccles (Vocals, Guitar), Jane Doutney (Keys, Vocals), Harry Simpson (Drums) and Hewett Cook (Bass). [1] Originally a bed-room producer project, A.D.K.O.B has also toured extensively in Australia.

Early Attention[edit]

Sydney taste-maker station FBi Radio played several songs on rotation and made A.D.K.O.B their Independent Artist of The Week [2]. This was mirrored by Seattle taste-maker station KEXP featuring "Lung Capacity" as their "Song of The Day."

The band released their debut single "Glue" in early 2016, and signed with Australian label Wonderlick Entertainment / Sony Music Australia shortly thereafter.[3] The single received high rotation support from national Australian broadcaser Triple J[4], who chose the band as the Sydney winner of their annual Laneway competition.
