Andrew G. Wright Middle School (commonly referred to as A.G.W Middle School or A.G. Wright Middle School) is a public middle school located in Stafford County, Virginia that provides educational opportunities for grades six through eight.[4] It is part of the Stafford County Public Schools educational division, and is named for the at-the-time superintendent Andrew Graham Wright.[5]
History[edit]
The building that would eventually become A.G Wright Middle School was first opened as Garrisonville Elementary and Middle School in 1981, with the west building allocating students grades K-5 and the east building teaching grades 6-8. In 1991, the east building was renamed to A.G. Wright Middle School in order to honor Andrew G. Wright, who served within the SCPS school system as the superintendent at the time.[6]
