A. Balasubramanian, is the Chief Executive Officer at Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company Limited and Birla Sun Life Trustee Company Pvt Ltd. He is also Chairman of the Association of Mutual Funds in India[1], Institution for Mutual Fund Intermediaries, and Aditya Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company Ltd.[2] He is also the Chairman of CII Mutual Fund Summit.[2][3]

Education[edit]

Balasubramanian holds a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and a Master's in Business Administration from GlobalNxt University, Malaysia. He completed a DFM and AMP from the Indian Institute of Management.[4][5]

Career[edit]

Balasubramanian served as a Senior Executive at Canbank Financial Services and later joined in GIC Mutual Fund in 1992 where he managed investments for the fund and also designed products, administration and marketing. In 2016, Balasubramanian established an elementary school in a partnership with his brother in Mellatur with 160 students.[6] He has been the Chairman of Association of Mutual Funds in India since 7 October 2016.[7][8][9]
