His father died when he was young, and Charles, along with his brother Ernest, was raised by their mother, Minnie Wilson, during the Great Depression.[2] Both brothers served in World War II. While working at Ernest Packaging, Charles also practiced law and served as the President of the non-profit organization JVS SoCal.[6][7] He has previously served as the President of Trio-Tech[8][9] and was elected Chairman of the Board.[10] Wilson is also the chairman of Daico Industries Inc.[8][11]
