ACES Coders
ACES Coders is one of the largest algorithmic programming competitions in Sri Lanka organized by the Association of Computer Engineering Students (ACES) of the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. ACES Coders commenced in 2011, as a training event for computer engineering students to improve their efficiency and accuracy to participate in similar online competitions such as IEEEXtreme and ACM ICPC. With the increase in popularity it is now organized on an annual basis and today, it is one of the most popular coding competitions that attracts participants from the universities and higher education institutions all over the country. The event usually lasts for 12 hours where the contestants are given a set of problems to solve using programming and problem-solving skills..[1]
History
ACES Coders v7.0
The event was held on 15th December 2018 at the Faculty of Engineering University of Peradeniya. It had 360 competitors from 120 teams representing universities and higher educational institutes, spread all over the Island. This event was sponsored by, London Stock Exchange Group, SYNOPSYS, THE SOFTWARE PRACTICE, PROAVOSLABS, Mobisec, IFS and Maverick.io (Event partner), README (Digital Media Partner), GAUGE (University Media Partner) in collaboration with the HACKERS' CLUB of University of Peradeniya.

ACES Coders v6.0
The ACES Coders v6.0 event was held on the 26th February 2016 with 102 teams from every SL Universities ( 306 competitors ) at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. This event was sponsored by Synopsis (Gold partner), Shipxpress (Platinum partner), MilleniumIT (Strategic partner), README (Digital Media Partner), TV Derana (Electronic Media) and GAUGE (University Media Partner) in collaboration with the HACKERS' CLUB of University of Peradeniya.[3]

ACES Coders v5.0
The event was held on 13th June 2015 kicking off at 7 pm to finish at 7 am the next day at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. It had 312 competitors from 104 teams representing universities and higher education institutes, spread all over the Island. This event was sponsored by ShipXpress (Platinum sponsor), MilleniumIT (Strategic partner), Atrenta and IFS (Silver sponsors), Hutch (Internet Partner), Hackerrank and README (Digital Media Partner), Daily Mirror, GAUGE (University Media Partner) in collaboration with the HACKERS' CLUB of University of Peradeniya[4][5][6] [7] Top 3 teams at ACES Coders v5.0 were:

- • 2nd Place – Romankaarayo (University of Moratuwa)
