Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. or simply AC Health was established in June 2015 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ayala Corporation. It is the holdings company for all healthcare-related initiatives under Ayala Corporation, building an affordable integrated healthcare ecosystem.
Among its portfolio is Generika pharmacies and FamilyDOC primary care clinics as healthcare facilities. In addition to its portfolio are Vigos Health Technologies that develops electronic medical record (EMR) and clinical information systems[1], MedGrocer, an online pharmacy and medicine management service[2], and AIDE, a home healthcare application on smartphones[3], and most recently, Healthway, with its mall-based multi-specialty clinics[4].
Affiliates
Generika Drugstore, established in 2003, is the pioneer in retail of quality affordable generic medicines. Since then, it has grown into a chain of over 830 branches nationwide—the third-largest pharmacy chain in the Philippines as of 2019. It has over 100 medicines under the Actimed and Nutrawell brands.
FamilyDOC is a chain of community-based primary care clinics that offers combined services of outpatient doctor’s clinic, diagnostic facility, and pharmacy.[5] It has different clinics in Metro Manila, Cavite, and Laguna with over 700 medical professionals. It also offers a residency training program for family medicine.[6]
Vigos Health Technologies is the first digital health portfolio in the Philippines which develops an electronic medical record system, an online pharmacy, and a home healthcare service application. Some of its digital platforms are VigosEMR, MedGrocer, and AIDE.[7]
Healthway Philippines, started operations in 1998, is a multi-specialty clinic that offers outpatient services including specialty consults, imaging, laboratory, specialized diagnostics, ambulatory surgical services, dental services, and physical therapy.[8] It was recently acquired by AC Health in 2019 from Hong Kong-based firm, HKR International.[9]
