The AC Hotel Beverly Hills is an 11-story, 176-room boutique hotel located at 6399 Wilshire Boulevard in the Beverly Grove neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Part of the AC Hotels by Marriott brand, it was the first AC-branded hotel in the Greater Los Angeles region when it opened in 2019.[1] The hotel is owned by Candleberry Properties and was constructed by R.D. Olson Construction.[2]
History
The AC Hotel Beverly Hills was developed through the adaptive reuse of a mid-rise office building originally constructed in the early 1950s, located at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and La Jolla Avenue.[1] The property owner, Candleberry Properties, undertook the conversion of the building into a boutique hotel under the AC Hotels by Marriott brand.
Construction was carried out by R.D. Olson Construction and completed in two phases. Phase One encompassed the conversion of the 1950s office structure into a 97,000-square-foot hotel featuring guest rooms, a rooftop lounge, fitness center, and meeting spaces. Phase Two added administrative areas, community spaces, and additional suites, bringing the total room count to 176.[2]
Architecture and design
The hotel's facade retains elements of the original mid-century architecture, incorporating an Art Deco-inspired aesthetic.[1] The interior design draws on both the building's heritage and the European sensibility characteristic of the AC Hotels brand, which was founded in Spain by Antonio Catalán in 1998.[3]
The hotel features a curated art collection commissioned specifically for the property, with pieces displayed throughout the public spaces.[4]
Amenities
The AC Hotel Beverly Hills offers several dining options. The AC Lounge serves tapas-inspired small bites, while Nava Rooftop, located on the upper floors, offers Mediterranean-inspired small plates and craft cocktails.[5] The 11th-floor Viewpoint Terrace provides panoramic views of the Miracle Mile, West Hollywood, and the Hollywood Hills.[4]
Additional amenities include a rooftop swimming pool with a hydrotherapy spa, a fitness center, and meeting and event spaces.[2] The hotel also features a robot butler named "ACE" that delivers items such as towels and phone chargers to guest rooms, as well as electric vehicle charging stations with two 220 kW DC chargers.[6]
