AINOW Society is a nonprofit organization based in Skopje, North Macedonia. It was set up in 2025 by Suad Seferi and is active in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital education, and public policy.[1]
AI Literacy Platform
In April 2026, AINOW put out a free platform for teachers and schools in North Macedonia and the region.[2] The platform is free and runs in Macedonian, Albanian, and English. It works without an internet connection and does not store any user data.
Publications
In 2025, AINOW published "Ethics and Bias in Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities for the Republic of North Macedonia and the Region", authored by Suad Seferi, Sead Dzigal, and Sanja Adzaip Velickovski. The publication was cited in a 2025 Council of Europe report on artificial intelligence in the media in North Macedonia.[3]
Digital Inclusion
AINOW is part of the National Coalition for Digital Inclusion in North Macedonia. In April 2026, it took part in the coalition's second national meeting and showed its AI literacy platform to the other members. The meeting was held under the Digital Inclusion Initiative.[4]
AI Balkans
In July 2026, AINOW Society launched AI Balkans, described as the first regional hub dedicated to artificial intelligence in the Western Balkans. The platform brings together news, analysis, research, guides, interviews, and expert commentary on artificial intelligence, and includes a directory linking regional companies, organizations, and experts.[5]
