AI * Shoujo (Japanese: ＡＩ*少女) is a 3d eroge sandbox life simulator game set on a deserted tropical island. It was developed and published by ILLUSION in 2019[1][2]. The game revolves around various girls (up to 4) with each their own customizable looks and behaviour. The game is remarkable for its character customization. Varying from a dozen of clothes to choose from to adjusting individual hair bits, the character editor is very detailed.
Gameplay[edit]
The game starts with the player being woken up by the selected girl. After that, it is up to you to survive on the island. By exploring the island, you gather material to craft items, unlock other girls, build houses and find pets.
unlocking girls[edit]
You can have a maximum of 4 girls at the same time on your island. It starts with one girl and it is up to you to find the others. By looking at the map, you can see the locations of capsules, where the girls are in. The first capsule you will find has a battery next to it. You need batteries to open the capsules and unlock a new girl. After that, you can either buy or craft other batteries.
growing girls[edit]
You can grow girls by interacting with them. Their response depends on their mood and their parameter levels. There are several ways to interact with girls:
talk: by asking question or giving compliments, you can rise one of the parameter depending on what you say.
advise: by advising you can suggest a girl to do something. E.g., go to sleep, collect material or cook something. Giving advice will make the girl more independent and useful, but also rises her fatigue level. When her fatigue level is too high, the girl will get unconscious. The girl will follow/ignore your advice based on her mood.
give items: you can either gift an item to raise one of their parameters or give them medicine to cure illness/speed up recovery.
ask for sex: due to the nature of the game, you can ask the girls to have sex with you. This will result in a scene where the player performs sexual intercourse with the girl. Whether she will have sex with you or not depends on her mood and lust.
By interacting with the girls, they will grow (their parameters rise) and become more useful.
crafting[edit]
By crafting items, you can craft better tools or other materials you need in the game. To gather materials you need to use your fist or tools, like the pickaxe, shovel or insect net. Some items can also be found across the island. You can also craft building material to create or decorate a house.
housing[edit]
With materials, you can build houses for you and the girls to live in.
Studio mode[edit]
The game has a special mode that lets your create your own scenes and screenshots. This mode is currently only available in the Japanese version or by downloading the ecstasy patch[3]

- The studio mode can also be found in other games from ILLUSION, such as Koikatu and Honey Select[4]
- Due to the censorship on Steam, some of the sexual parts are left out of the game. These part can be downloaded via a patch[3]
