Nana Adjoa Amaniwaah Akuoko-Sarpong also known as AJ Sarpong is a broadcast journalist who host television and radio programs like Hall of Fame on Citi tv, Brunch in the Citi on Citifm and more,[1][2][3]she also hosted the daily entertainment segment on Starr FM’s Mid-Morning show and has been in the media space for over a decade years[4]. She was born to Nana Akuoko-Sarpong, the chief of the Agogo Traditional Area.[5][6][4]
Education
AJ Sarpong holds a Bachelors of Art Degree in Political Science and Theatre arts from the University of Ghana and a Masters in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. [1][7][8]
Career
AJ Sarpong began her journey in the media at the age of 16 as a Media Relations and Event Correspondent with ghanamusic.com.[9]
Prior to joining Citi Fm in 2017, she was a presenter at EIB Network where she hosted "Tales from the Powder Room" show on GHOne TV.[5][10][11][8]
She is a professional MC for events and has MC'd a number of events including the 2017 Ghana Music Honors, the media launch for Sarkodie’s 2016 Sarkoholic concert, In the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and more.[12][13] She was honored by University of Ghana students from the Elizabeth Sey Frances Hall for her work.[5]
