AMAOUN Shivanagri
Village Amaoun is located in Bhabua Chand road. Here there is a very famous and very old temple of lord Shiva. The main temple is situated deep, approximately 10 feet inside, with the main linga of Lord Shiv. In the first Monday of the Hindi month of Aasarh, large numbers of devotees bring holy water from the river Ganga from Ramnagar, travelling nearly 55km with bare feet, and give it to Lord Shiva’s linga with huge love and affection. Also, in Shivratri, huge numbers of devotees come every year for grand celebrations, Rudrabhishek, and Mahaabhisek.
