AMCS - the Advanced Music Construction System is an Embedded MIDI and PCM Audio step sequencer. The system functions as a standalone Embedded Operating System on various ARM Netbook and Tablet devices, as well as supporting it's predecessor platform the Acorn Archimedes.

    History[edit]

AMCS was first conceived in the mid-90s due to a requirement to update from !WIMPTracker to higher quality audio, and lack of access to any MIDI sequencing software on the Acorn Archimedes. Over time the system has gone through several rebuilds to expand capability and move to newer devices.
