AREAi works with and in under-resourced schools and poor communities,[1] providing technical and infrastructural support to scale learning outcomes and drive academic achievement for poor and vulnerable children and youth from low-income families.[2][3][4][5]

History

The organisation was founded by Gideon Seun Olanrewaju in 2014 and was incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC) of Nigeria in 2017. It is headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria.[6]

The organization designs and implements quality alternative and accelerated learning programs for children, particularly girls and women, that are not in education, employment and training (NEET).[7][5] Most prominently, through educational programming that focuses on girls education, teachers’ professional development digital equity and foundational learning.[8][9] On July 3, 2021 the organization supported 100 poor students with examination fees.[10]
