A Capriccio View of Arnhem (Possibly 1666-67), Jan van der Heyden.

A Capriccio View of Arnhem is a Landscape Paintings by the Dutch artist Jan van der Heyden. The painting depicts an imaginary architectural view which may derive from the Janspoort in Arnhem and the Plompe Toren in Utrecht. Multiple figures are present in the painting including three on a Ledge with a Dog and a man on horseback leaving the Fort. The painting is believed to have had a pendant work but is currently missing. The painting is also one of his eight known works created on Copper.

The artwork was sold at Christies in 2018 for 404,750 GBP and again in 2026 for 279,400 GBP.[1][2][3]
