A Case for Murder: Brittany Murphy Files [1] [2] (2015) [3] is a book by English author Bryn Curt James Hammond[4]. The book re-examines the shock death of Brittany Murphy with a foreword by Murphy’s father Jack Murphy. A Case for Murder was revised and re-released by Miami Fox Publishing in 2017.[5] After the success of the first edition, the second edition included Brittany Murphy’s autopsy report & marriage license to Simon Monjack.[6][7][8]

A Case for Murder: Brittany Murphy Files[9]was heavily covered upon its release in worldwide tabloids[10] which included RadarOnline who highlighted the books claim that Simon Monjack was “‘unfaithful, controlling and fame hungry.’”[6] International Business Times highlighted the books allegations that Brittany Murphy’s mansion had become a ‘“ready-made drug store.’”[7] Heat Magazine run a four page editorial, exclusively speaking with author who stated he believed “100 percent Brittany was murdered.” [1] The book includes exclusive interviews with Thora Birch (Deadline), Brad Greenquist (Across the Hall), Jay Pickett (Abandoned) & many other co-workers, family & friends.
