Since February 2020, Directors, Producers have started thinking up projects that are easy to execute, keeping in mind pandemic-appropriate behavior and protocol. M Miraz Hossain is a Writer, Producer one of them to step forward and make two Short Film[1] with two young promising Directors in Bangladesh. As filmmakers, we have started thinking of more contained, smaller, location-safe subjects,” he says. These are usually between a few minutes to half an hour, have just a few characters and are mostly shot within an apartment space or a street.

Wedding Story[edit]

Many of these short films are released on [[YouTube][] channels[2], so the world is their audience, with feedback being instant. “It was like releasing in a theater, because we get to reach a wide range of audiences who have free access,” says ‘Wedding Story’ producer M Miraz Hossain, “There’s also healthy conversation happening in the comment sections. As a team getting into the industry, it is great validation and encourages us to create an expanded world with bigger budgets.” Young Director Mizanur Rahman Ariyan did his best by simplifying story and added emotional twist.

Rishad O Kaner Dool (Rishad and Earrings)[edit]

M Miraz Hossain added “I had to keep myself occupied during the lockdown. Once I started writing the dialogues of this story idea, it led me to ‘’Rishad O Kaner Dool (Rishad and Earrings)” and eventually the short film.” Short Film ‘’Rishad O Kaner Dool” written & screenplay and also produced by M Miraz Hossain which released last year on YouTube Channel & Facebook and attracted so many viewers in Bangladesh. It was a story of Valentine’s Day when couple struggle to find a gift within their limit. Eventually they proven their love is pure even they don’t have enough resources. Accompanied with M Miraz Hossain, another young Director Alamgir Rumman showed his talent in this short film.

Although both short films have some limitations as well[3]. TV channels are mostly refused short film to shown their channel due to length of the movie. TV Channels heavily rely on ]]commercial]] advertisement but short film is not ideal for advertisement point of view. Bangladeshi TV channels use to telecast Drama, Serial or Movie which are minimum 30 minutes or more in length. Together, these things are indicative of a multi-step approach to understanding this film. Lack of a straight narrative in some scene, using quick, temporally irrelevant cuts, serves may make some viewers irritating. Once Bangladeshi Film industry was so popular that most people like to watch local Bangla movies in cinema hall or on TV. It was great era of Bangladeshi Movie. That time called famous Black & White Era. Introduction of full Color Movies was not good. Bangladeshi Film industry faced its black days during years 1990-2000 period when nudity and lack of promising new comers of film industry make Bangladeshi Film industry and main stream film line in deep crisis. Before 1995 Bangladesh had at least 1500 Cinema Hall all around the country. Accordingly local newspaper these numbers unfortunate under 150 in present. Most of Bangladeshi people watch movie and entertain on Digital platform & on more than 30 private TV Channel. Even as we brace to survive the relentless second wave of COVID-19, and yet another lockdown, theaters are shut and big film releases have paused. However, in this space, an encouraging new trend is emerging: a spate of realistic and sensitive, hence powerful, short films set in these unnerving times. And though escapism will always be popular in times like this, it is also cathartic to watch these stories unfold. May be another way to live a life are emerged for the writers, producers like M Miraz Hossain.
