A good company
A Good Company[1][2] is a Swedish social-impact start-up. It is a privately held AB company that donates 4% of its revenue to the A Good Foundation.
It is primarily known for exposing micro-influencer fraud in May 2019.[3][4][5] The company is also recognized for using stone paper as packaging material.[6]
The CEO is Swedish Anders Ankarlid.
History
The company was founded in November 2018 in Stockholm, Sweden, by Anders Ankarlid.[7] The idea for A Good Company arose in response to the extreme environmental effects of the 2018 Swedish summer, which saw record-high temperatures. The drought led to wells drying up and widespread forest fires across the country. The founder, facing the potential loss of his cattle and the destruction of their grazing land, felt profound environmental despair.
The company launched online on March 1, 2019, and received its first order within eight minutes.
In March 2020, the company reported sales of 2,000,000 EUR.
In August 2020, the company launched the A Good Humanium Metal Pen, in collaboration with the United Nations, SIDA, and IM.
Humanium Metal Pen
A Good Company launched the A Good Humanium Metal Pen, in partnership with IM,[8] a Swedish non-profit organization funded by SIDA.
The project is supported by the Dalai Lama,[9] Hans Blix, and Desmond Tutu, among others.
Since its inception in 2016, the Humanium Metal initiative has undertaken crucial work in countries like El Salvador. It has received numerous awards and garnered praise from prominent international peace advocates. The initiative operates according to UN Sustainable Development Goal 16 to foster peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development.
Humanium Metal helps people affected by armed conflict in developing countries. It does this by confiscating illegal weapons and channeling the revenue from Humanium Metal products into further weapons destruction programs and supporting victims of gun violence through IM's on-the-ground projects.
