Family life

Aaliya is the niece of former CFL football player and current Canadian Football coach Jabari Arthur.

Pageantry

Arthur began competing in pageants in 2020 when she entered Miss Teenage Quebec. Winning the title, she continued on to the Miss Teenage Canada pageant in 2021. She competed against 48 other girls and placed third runner-up.[1]

In 2022, she competed in the virtual pageant Personality Pageants Canada managed by Sophia Lia. She won the title of Miss Teen Personality Quebec 2022, and passed off her title a year later.

Appearances (acting)

She can be seen as an extra in several episodes of the show Big Top Academy. In 2022, she appeared in the short film 'The Girls Of Bathroom B'[2] presented by Kino Montréal, and directed by Sal Eigh. Aaliya can also be seen in a numerous amount of WowWee toys commercials and infomercials presenting the 'Got to Glow' fairy finders as well as the 'Lucky Fortune' bracelets. Arthur was also in a short tutorial video for 'UNTAMED Mad Lab Minis'.[3] In 2020, she appeared in a short infomercial by CSC edition informing children about the importance of being kind.[4] When she was about four years old, her image appeared on Disney Junior in August as it was her birthday month.

At age five, her modelling career began when she modelled for a glasses store in Canada. Some further appearances included modelling for Wowwee toys.

Some of her photos won many awards and were featured in magazines such as CAN kids magazine[5] as well as the Montréal enSANTÉ magazine winter 2017 on page 35.[6] She also appeared in the Montreal Gazette newspaper. In early 2020, she was interviewed and featured in the Montreal Community Contact newspaper and appeared on QCNA.[7][8][9] She can be seen in the West Island News as her pageant journey was featured.[10]

Achievements

Arthur has also raised over $1,000 for a school located in Africa, and in 2020, she created a Make-A-Wish Foundation fundraiser to raise money for children with critical illnesses.[11]
